Educators are innovators.
“If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men and women to gather wood, divide the work, and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.”
Antoine de Saint Exupéry
The maker movement has created an opportunity where passion fuels hands on learning. elequa has developed an economical open source kit that uses electrocoagulation to purify water that students and professionals alike can build, test, and modify. Make Water program focuses on inspiring student youth to be self-motivated in the pursuit of making the water purification kit better. We don’t force feed curriculum and tasks.
We find a challenge that the student or team is passionate about that not only teaches them a STEM related field but also helps the global water community as a whole.
